How much height do they need? is 7 or 8 inches good? or do they actually climb?

Can 'O Foods, don't bother, just a waste of money, it's rare a leo will eat that junk and it is junk.

As for the height they need, well they aren't known for their climbing skills so they don't really need height for that. But, they can climb and would easily escape something only 7"-8" if the top on it wasn't SECURELY fastened. I would suggest at least 12", unless you are using a rack system.

Err not a rack but it does have a secure top and thats for sure and is even sometimes hard to open. Why get something 12 inches when they dont climb??? like the other geckos i mean. Thats like putting an animal that cant/wont swim in 12 inches of water, just doesnt make sense.

Most people do put things the leo can climb around on like small logs/wood pieces/limbs. They just don't climb like their "sticky footed" cousins do. But anyway, yes you can keep them in something 7"-8" tall, just don't open it & turn your back with the leo in it, they can be fast great escape artists
