My lizards (manely the female) are used to eating mealworms and the mealworms don't have to move for the lizards to recognize them as food and eat them. So this morning I was thinking shreded carrots look a lot like mealworms. So I took some thin strips of carrot and dropped them in the cage, and the female ate some, but they had to be just the right shape. They look like they would have about the same texture.

Lol, that's great, sadly Bonnie and Clyde don't like mealworms. Perhaps not enough action for them, I place them, they sniff at them and then look at me with the following look on their face.

"Ummm what are we supposed to do with this bud??"

Yes it took my lizards quite a while to figure out they were edible.
