In the past four months, B. Haridass was perplexed how dozens of his turkeys went missing from his farm.
Sometimes, he lost three birds in a day.
So, the 41-year-old civil engineer who ventured into livestock farming last September decided to keep vigil to nab the culprit who had been causing him financial losses.
He kept a round-the-clock watch for almost a month.
The answer came last Saturday evening. He saw a 3m-long python devouring a turkey at his farm.
With help of his neighbours and workers, Haridass took almost three hours to trap the slithery intruder.
“We had no expertise on how to catch the reptile, but we managed to confine it inside a cage,” he said at his farm in Kampung Sega in Rantau, near Seremban on Sunday.
The catch was later handed over to the Port Dickson Fire and Rescue Department.
