Feeding Question

ChameleonV123 Jan 11, 2006 07:53 PM

Hey guys thanks for the help, I think its great that people who share the same passion can come together like this. Any way, one more question for the day. How do yall feel about pinkies as a food source? I know some say yes, some no, but I was just curious. Thanks

One of the big concerns about feeding pinkies to chameleons is do they have the enzymes needed to digest them?

Those who do say yes, say few and far between. A bi monthly snack I have heard them reffered to as.

CANADIAN CHAMELEONS

Male chameleons have a better time eating pinkies, due mainly to their size. If your chameleon is large enough, pinkies can be fed to him. I agree though that they should only be offered once in a blue moon. They are tougher to digest than insects, and through my experience, screws up their eating cycle.
