what seems to be the problem with captive mata breeding?why no success in the U S? I bought 3 this year , will try sometime in the future

I have 2 large mata's. When they arrived at the dealer's the female laid eggs. All apparently collapsed within a few days. Perhaps not enough humidity? Hopefully she will lay eggs again.
