DELTAS SHIPPING INSURANCE

Amazonreptile Jan 12, 2006 12:39 PM

I had a discussion with a friend/customer/colleague this morning and a question came up that this forum may be helpful with. Further, the information will be useful to many here.

Has anyone had an experience with an insured total loss using Delta?

If so, what was the circumstances and the outcome?

Did they pay?

How long did it take?

Any useful hints ya wanna share?

TIA - have a great day!

hi, i just had a 05' 0.1 100%het 4 albino crushed through delta. the animal was lost for 11 or more hours and when it arrived the box, as well as the animal where crushed. i filed a claim immediately in the cargo facility and faxed it.
Their claim office never picks up the phone i repeat NEVER. And it takes them a while to call you back.

Also this happend in late october and i got my check a day or two before new years eve. They keep their promise and pay but its a very stressful and tiring experience.

If it was sent Delta Dash the limit is $750 no matter what the animals inside are valued.

I understand this may have been changed at the new year.
