Lucy Health Question

shinysnakeskin Jan 13, 2006 03:57 AM

this might be a dumb question but ive been thinking about it today.
(ill use the great dane as an example) sometimes when an all white puppy with blue or pink eyes is born, that dog tends to be deaf or has a chance of being deaf.
i was just wondering if there was any way to tell if an all white snake has any form of health "deformaties"? like if the snake has any trouble seeing prey or smelling, or maybe even skin problems?
i dont know, i could be wrong. i dont have a lucy lol. it was a thought that i had.
does anybody have any thoughts?
thanks for reading

We have only produced 2 Blue Eyed Leucistics (Russo Het X Mojave) and we have not noticed a single flaw. They are 2 of the best eaters out of all of the 2005 hatchlings we produced. It is very apparent that they respond to movement visually because we can see them track prey items with their eyes. Their other senses are very acute also. They react to light, heat, movement and other stimulants just as any normal ball python would. As far as any skin disorders their scales are flawless!

Thanks,
