QUESTION???? a little long but not bad

coiledbattalions Jan 13, 2006 05:42 AM

ok..so this isnt a help me type question cause i know what im doing and my boreno is thriving...but i am curious to see if anyone has ever experienced something with them b4...a few months back i decided i was gona sell my blood cause i was looking to get something else...i ended up selling it to a buddy of mine who also has had many snakes ...because he was interested in breeding super balls...aka ballpython and blood python...he took it home and was gona try to house it with his ball but as soon as the blood was with another snake it freaked out and bit his snake a few times and tried to bite my buddy and basically became a tiny devil (this was when it was eating lg rats...is now on extra jumbo lol)...b4 then my blood was as nice as my ball python and had never hissed at me...after that he gave me it back which made me happy cause i changed my mind after selling it and wanted it back anywayz...since then it has been the same way with me...completely calm...never even threatening me...i do respect it because its a blood though...i never reach my hand in and pick it up...i always use a hook so not to stress it and give it reason to bite...just wondering if anyone has seen that behavior twoards other snakes by bloods.

Can't blame the blood. Arranged marriage with a ball python? What did you think would happen? Welcome home, Old Boy

Hey,
I'm not exactly a proponent of the bloodxball thing and will never be, however, you might just have placed to males together and not even know it. How sure are you that you have a pair?
