For Robert Carmichael

Hi Robert!

I was wondering if you could tell me where you get your Quail for your Dry's from? I also live near Chicago and need a reliable source of food.

Thanks,

James

The best quail avalable are from Brad Mitchell. I think he lives in South Dakota. They are dark meat coturnix quail.

They don't sell young quail, thanks for the info. Looks like a good quality bird.

I know they are vitamin rich I cut them up when I feed my young Cribos and Spilotes.

Hi James,

I think Rob gets his stuff from Rodent Pro. Or at least used to.
You said you live near Chicago. Are you in IL? I live in Quincy.

Anyone feed their snakes chicks? Are chicks ok to feed to snakes?

Sighthunter Jan 14, 2006 09:58 AM

I feed chicks, mice, rats and quail for a good ballance. I use chicks mostly in the spring and for bulking up imports and my breeder females.

What about fish?

Eric East Jan 14, 2006 10:06 AM

Yes, fish is ok. I usually start hatchlings out on goldfish.

You never did say where you were from...

I use fish for scenting but think it would be a good thing in the rotation of variety in food items, make sure you use a healthy source whatever that may be.
