tamlin Jan 13, 2006 05:52 PM

i recently aquired one from a friend who couldnt keep it any longer. i was wondering if anyone had any advice or care tips that might help me in keeping the newt as healthy as possible. ive read up a little bit about them but other than temps, and water ph, i have no idea how to care for one. im more used to keeping reptiles and not amphibians. any help would be most appreciated!

Keep in mind that they live on land - not in the water. A woodland terrarium is your best bet. They'll eat small insects and worms.
