bedding for hatchlings

driley Jan 13, 2006 08:07 PM

My little ones are 4 months old. I am currently using coconut bark in my hatchling tank. It is hard to keep it moist and I am worried about dehydration. Can anyone recommend something better? Has anyone used Repti Sand. That looks easy to burrow into and comes in cool colors.

Try putting moss over half of the coconut bedding. The moss will help trap some of the moisture. I wouldn't use sand with them. Perhaps a sand/soil mixture may work ok, but I don't think just sand would work well.
