Field herping in Florida

Kimbits Jan 14, 2006 06:28 AM

I shall be visiting Florida during the end of february and the beginning of march. I will apparently be on the "Space Coast" - first time i've heard that name for it - for a week and in the Keys for a week. If anyone can direct me to any specific locations that are good for herps I'd be very grateful.

Cheers
Kimbits

Yea ,hey If you look on a map of lake placid youll see a place called placid lakes, theres alot of trash piles to hunt and on verginia av. also lots of trash piles , thats all to hunt this time of year but in feb you can hunt fl. kings (Getuls, floradana)in the cane feilds south on S.R27 and walk canalbanks till noon. or take a ride thru the everglades national park, the last time i drove down that road in feb the water snakes were popin under our tires all the way out the park (50 miles) at dusk.
