I have read about brumation and that some dragons brumate and some do not. Mine kind of half does and half doesn't. For a few weeks he slept a lot and ate very little. Did not even want crickets. I put in a spotlight bulb instead of a regular bulb. His basking spot is 105 -110...the rest of the cage is 89-95.
I give him salad every day. He picks at it. I offer him crickets every day. One day he will not eat any then the next day maybe 30.... then for three or four days nothing again. I bath him every third day...as soon as he hits the water he wants out...then in about 30 seconds or so he takes a big dump and the water is dirty so I have to take him out...the entire time I am holding him. I got some parazap and gave him 3 doses. He does seem more alert in the morning . Instead of sleeping he just hangs out. He does not look thin and loves to ride around the house on my shoulder...checking out the area. I want to do right by him as he has become my little buddy. Anything else I need to do...Oh I forgot he has a 32" UVB tube that is rated 5.0 that runs across the top of his enclosure.
I have a table water falls that I was thinking of placing in his habitat, but I am woried about too much humidity.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks
Nancy
