Shot a picture today of my S.E. Oklahoma locality emoryi rat after shed. Received this little girl from Don Soderberg about a month ago. I love her arrowhead pattern. Thanks for looking.

Here is a picture of my 1.0 kisatchie corn. Brazos Valley, Tx. I posted this pic below my Emoryi rat for a comparison shot.

Those are beauties, Steve. I don't see too much difference bt. the emoryi and slowinskii though. Do they seem different to you? I've never had slowinskii before. There does seem to be slight differences in head and body shape. Thanks...TC
Thank you Terry. There does seem to be some difference in head shape. Another difference is my 05 emoryi is a bit larger then either one of my 05 slowinskii, though when fully grown I believe both of my slowinskii will easily surpass the Emoryi in size. Emoryi rats come out of the egg huge. They look like they are ready kick butt and take names, LOL
Also, my slowinskii seem to have a more contrasting checkboard pattern on the ventral area compared to the emoryi. The checkerd pattern on the emoryi is a bit more of a faded brown, where as the slowinskii seem to be more like the ventral of a normal cornsnake from the southeast, but with zero orange. Very nice white with blackish checkering. I also think the saddles on the slowinskii have more of a reddish/maroon hue on them then the emoryi. Just some of the differences I have observed.

Thanks, Steve. Those are some differences that aren't noticeable right away. Looks can be deceiving sometimes. There might be some differences in scale counts too, when it comes to ventral scales, and maybe the blotch count. Glad someone's working with those guys for comparison. TC
nice slowinskii. Did you breed them or who did ? I've been considering adding some to my collection -
thanks for the pic
I didn't breed these. I picked my pair up from Jim Sargent out of split rock reptiles. And as far as I know, he still has some available.
