Congrats on your first blood: both the snake and your wound. Youre too big for her to confuse you with food; little girl is scared to death! Give her some time (a week or more) and a couple of uneventful feedings before you mess with her. Even then, you'll want to keep the sessions short until she gains confidence in you. Snakes vary just like individual humans; some love company, others tolerate it.
As far as size is concerned, you can expect her to grow to 5 feet...more or less. You have time to consider that (you will need a larger enclosure). For now, I think you might want to slow down and focus on providing the best environment you can for your new blood and making her thrive.

Yep. That should do it. Good luck with her. They're really cool.

Congrats on the best impulse buy you'll ever make! I actually did the exact same thing. I went to a show hoping to find a neat bullsnake morph, and came home with a baby blood instead. Plan on getting that 4 foot cage in about a year... My female sumatran hit 4 feet by her first birthday. Until then, you're snake looks gorgeous, and be sure to keep posting pics as she grows! GOOD LUCK with her!!!

I've been trying to find out what the growth rate of bloods is, and haven't really found anything, but most of the yearlings I've seen for sale were around 2.5'-3'. Can somebody tell me what the normal size range for a yearling is?

It depends a lot on how much you feed them. They can grow very quickly if you feed them enough. Mine are on a modest feeding schedule (one small adult rat every 7 days) and as yearlings they're around 2.5-3 feet.
