Phimophis guianensis.........??????????????

Ok.....let's face it.this forum may be one of the slwest online?.......

....only one man probably owns any of these..and I don't have a clue of a common name at all.....

Phimophis guianensis..........where can we find out about them or even find any for sale...?.......is there a common name to look for also?......

.........and yes.....northern ringnecks get to at least 24 inches and better........and no I never got one to eat....

I couldn't find info of a common name... Maybe Dan can help you with that.

And yes Northern Ringnecks can get up to 24", I had a 26" specimen several years ago that ate 16" garter snakes once a week. If you want to keep Northerns successfully, salamanders are the key. Long term captives may switch to worms, but salamanders spark an interest immediately.

wow...I didn't know northern rings ate snakes.....

yea.I know redback salamanders ,,but here I couldn't ever get them to eat any....little medium or large gravid (or layed out) ringnecks.......they just wouldn't eat......(I released all and no I don't want them)

When you said that this forum is very slow, i dont know why u said that because it really isnt slow at all. It isnt as fast moving as the corn and ball python forum, but there are many times were there are many more posts here in a day then their are there.

I couldnt find the common name for this species though.

and mikes picture was a regal eating a snake not a northern.

.Hi.....I am not being rude or mean.,,just trying to wake up some people,,,.I am new to this forum but old to balls and corns.....I been around awhile.....

.........just sad there aren't as many odd little snakes being kept......(even I am doing balls for the cash value)......(I am really a corn guy for the most part...have done alot of milks and kings too..)...

anyways........

need to have more on house snakes,,.not enough of them around.,,I know.,,,I am looking here for them .......(hard to breed one arora....spelled wrong also...where the U go).......

.......shovel nosed........patch nosed.........etc

.....as for ringneck....I didn't know ANY of them ate snakes..and I also didn't know how many sub-species there were.....Thanxx.....
