Off Topic but Important to me * Update on Grizzlys biopsy

PHEve Jan 14, 2006 03:16 PM

It's cancer I know this is all off topic but did want to thank you guys for your thoughts, and let ya know the Vet called today!

Really a bomb shell as they said not cancer after the surgery, but the biopsy was just something they have to do.

Anyway, our happiness took a freakin nose dive, and now we all faced with a still happy, playful doggie recooperating from surgery, starting ( cancer treatments) which I hate , after losing my parents and older brother to cancer * OR doing nothing, and having his appetite dwindle to nothing and him with it.

Well anyway, I will do my job and check on the forum and pop in , but may be busy alot for awhile so counting on ya all to post your pretty pics and keep it going around here as it's been a bit slow.

Thanks again for your well wishes,

My Grizzly

Awwww geez, Eve--I sure wasn't expecting that. I'm really sorry about the news. Cancer is the scariest word I have ever heard, and I truly feel for you.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the treatments will buy him some quality time with you guys.

Eve, if it helps you feel any better to know that my cat had thyroid cancer, and that was about 4 years ago, we had to leave him with the vet for 3-4 days. They nuked him with injectable radiation to kill the cancer. When we picked him up at the vet we had instructions NOT to let him sleep by us and when we clean the litterbox to wear latex gloves and store the used litter somewhere for a month before it was safe to put out for the trash collection. I asked the vet? You mean my kitty is making dirty bombs in his litterbox? LOL [had to slip that in] But all in all cancer isnt always a death sentence with people or animals anymore.
Good luck and God Bless, Bob

P.S. my cat is still doing fine.

I'm sorry you got bad news, Eve. I hope it won't be as bad as you think. My thoughts are with you.
