going away............>>>

i'm going away later on today and won't be home until Sunday evening. my adult leos get 20 mealies, each in their bowls and are fine, but what should i do for my hatchlings??? they haven't shed yet but i am worried they will tomorrow or on Sunday. how long can a hatchling go without food after its first shed??? should i leave a few mealies in their dish just in case??? i just dont want one biting the other's tail.
*Katrina and Pixie are getting along well enough. they are both sharing the humid hide and don't seem to mind one another's company *

Leave a few pin-head crickets in the tank and they should be ok. Just make sure the new hatchling(s) are eating when you get back.

If your worrying about that, and you more than likely will all weekend why not get a tank divider. If it is a 10 gal tank they usually run about 5-10 bucks. But if not just put in a few mealies and crix if you want and have a good trip.

chances are from when they were hatched they may not eat until about sunday. Mine have been averaging about 4 days before they get interested in food.

They day my baby gex were born I threw a few micro crix in with them. If they don't eat them there and then thats fine but sure as anything the moment I added them both of the gex started to chase them round the enclosure. Both are eatting like pigs and after a fill drag their stomachs on the floor.

I'd just leave a few in a bowl with them. Clean water and alittle food I'm sure they can do for a day or so on their own.
