scale rot on my leucistic?

anj109 Jan 14, 2006 04:45 PM

I noticed today that on one of my yearling leucistic texas rat snakes, that he has brown scales around the "lip" of his mouth. Does this sound like scale rot? If so, what can I do to treat it or will it go away with the next shed? My humidity is not high at all, around 30% and I don't spray the tank at all so it's not moist in there sometimes. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!
