Heating Question

herpchick101 Jan 14, 2006 06:21 PM

I was just wondering : if I have an UTH and a ceramic heat bulb (150 watts), should I leave either on 24/7? if not, how long should I leave both on?

In my opinion the warm side should be kept warm 24/7. I leave my UTH's on all the time.

Thanks so much, I'll do that!

I leave the UTH on all the time for my geckos but if you're using a 150 watt bulb I'd check the temps very closely or you could cook your leo's. I have bearded dragons too and they don't even get a bulb that gets that hot. The highest wattage I use for my geckos lamps is 40 watts and that works for me but it really all depends on how warm or cold your house gets.
