its been years since i deal with rabbits but when i did they were in about a 4x4 enclousure elevated slightly off the ground, so poop did not get to deep in the cage. rabbits poop alot. the bottom was wire and there was an area that was boarded on the bottom for birth. put one male with one or two or a few females with food and water and just like rats and mice in no time nature will take its course. it was a while ago but i do remember they breed a lot and quickly and they also eat alot. i don't remember having any major problems with the rabbits though.

this was when i lived in new york and the rabbits were left outside year round in the same cage. when the temps dropped we put more hay in the cage. the wire was about 2x4 or so.
