I've converted a 4 foot table into a cage, but still putting the final touches on. Right now the floor is simply a wooden shelf that is sealed in the same way as the rest of the table. This is at least a 25 year old table, so I don't trust it. What would be a good cheap easy floor? I could either seal it with something new or would not be averse to maybe putting down tiles or something like that. I'll put up a picture when its finally done

Instead of applying a brush on finish which may not go over the existing finish I'd just find a scrap piece of vinyl flooring, Sintra, fiber-glass reinforced panel or formica. Slightly damaged formica or other high-pressure laminate is pretty easy to get for dirt cheap.

I have ogten thought of using vinyl flooring. It does sound like it will work pretty good. You might be able to find leftover remnants at Lowes or Home Depot, or maybe a flooring place. Derek

That was supposed to be often. Derek
