I was hoping someone could help me with a health problem I've been having with my leopard gecko. I've had her for nearly nine years, and she's always been very healthy, but a few days ago I noticed that her left eye seems to be swollen shut. She is capable of fully opening it when she wants to, but most of the time it's completely closed. Other than this she seems to be normal, and there is no noticeable swelling anywhere else on her head or on her body. She just shed, so I thought there might be some skin left over causing the problem, but I can't find any. About a year and a half ago she had a major infection in the other side of her head that caused her head to double in size. That also caused her eye to shut, but then the swelling was very obviously the cause. My vet managed to operate on her then and remove the swollen tissue, and she's been normal ever since. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused her new problem or how I can fix it?
