This is my baby, Big Ed... I got him about 2 years ago from a pet store that was going out of business ..i figure he's about 4 or 5 yrs old..im not sure.. he is 6.5-7 feet long... does anybody know what kind of boa he is??

obviously some subspecies of boa constrictor-i would guess boa constrictor occidentalis,the argentine boa-but that's just an educated guess from a non-expert when it comes to boids,lol

Lol...look up Argentine Boa on the net...that is NOT an Argentine by any stretch of the imagination. The Argentine is black and grey and has a perfect "candlestick" on its head. The larger Argentines are almost completely black except for the outlines of the saddles are light grey to white and in the morph "High Pink" it has muddy pink saddle disks.

I don't think it's an Argentine. Not sure which sub-species, though. But like he said, definitely a boa constrictor

That is just a boa constrictor from Central America somewhere. The subspecies is imperator, as are all Central American mainland boas.

Well i am no expert but he looks just like mine and mine is a Columbian Boa.
