Here is my Butter breeding a Pastel female. We hope to make a few of them this year! I love the difference between the Lessers and Butters.

OK, I will bite, what are the differences in the Lesser and Butter. I have niether animal, but the pics look VERY similar.

Could you post a pic of a lesser next to a butter so we can see the difference.From the pics I`ve seen ,they look the same. You say that you love the difference between the two, which do you like better? Just curious... Best wishes,Mark

in my opion, although the result may be the say, ie butter to butter=lucy. although im am keeping everything crossed it isn't. the butter is by far a nicer animal. and the crosses they make are out of this world. i compared 2 patel lessers in daytona, and 1 in chicago and my pastel butter by far beats them. see for your self.

Hey Mark go check out my new website it has some great pictures of Lessers and my Butter. I agree with Josh at Tampa Bay I think that the Butter crosses are better than the Lesser crosses. I love the Lessers and think they are awesome snake but Pastel Butter blows the Lesser Pastel away in my opinion. I will get some baby pics of the two when they hatch so people can see the difference. The main difference is the yellow dorsal stripe down the Butters back and the light coloring towards the dorsal. I love the ButterDaddy that Ralph produced.

I believe the Lessers are offspring from the male imported Platium Ball (Platty) from RDR and the Butters are from a wild import that Reptile Industries has been breeding. They look very similar but it has yet to be proven if they are the same genetic trait. Picture is a Butter Ghost from Reptile Industries.

see the first post...Brock is working with butters. Also Reptile Industries of FL are breeding butters. I think they are still big bucks because very few have them right now....mike
