I have a retired breeder female who's laid several infertile eggs that I've kept, but have gone bad & have been dissected & found empty. However, one has not gone bad (I honestly don't know how long ago it was laid, I found it when I changed her cage recently & suspect it's over a month old). Today it was leaking both clear & cloudy fluid from 2 seperate spots. It was not doing this yesterday. I figured maybe it's going bad, so I carefully opened it part way & saw a tail! I closed it back up & put it back in the peat moss it was in. It didn't smell or look "bad".
Do you think the baby is pipping & that's why the egg was leaking in 2 places? There seems to be a good amount of yolk stuff still in the egg.
Any help would be appreciated...
