WEEK IN REVIEW!!!!!!!!

toshamc Jan 15, 2006 07:03 PM

Do to the fact that we were out of town for the weekend (and now the WIR is late) the WIR will be a watered down version nothing fancy – just a quick recap of the week – my apologies – will do better this week.

FIRST CLUTCH OF 2006 – the prize goes to Sproket and Lynn at Lynns Dragons – 6 eggs and maybe some pieds!?!?! Congratulations!

Official thread from hell of this week: sexing snakes – there were actually quite a few of these

Thread on maternal incubation

Lotsa snake sex pictures

Are Caramels kinked (didn’t we just have this discussion last week)?

Where do you feed

The poll for why you breed snakes got only 4 replys – what no one whats to admit to doing it for the money.

Who has the biggest balls discussions – 4 of them.

Can an albino be a hypo – I have three words for you “NERD’s Albino Hypo” this should clear things up:

Mouse gets revenge – this story was just too good to be true!

More males not breeding – some just finding their way.

PICTURE OF THE WEEK (mr2nr6)

Sweet Granite (ReptilesExotics)

Enchi Pastel (crystalpalace)

Hypo (avdnco)

PICTURE OF THE WEEK Paradox breeding (Eric Sandoval)

PICTURE OF THE WEEK Apu (OC-Balls)

Mouse in Snakes mouth - sorry this one has been around for quite a while can't give it Picture of the week.

Thought all you Derma fans would like this one: Cyclopes, a kitten born with only one eye and no nose – unfortunately he only made it one day.

The photo has to be fake. Kittens are born with their eye's sealed shut.. don't open for several days after being born. For a kitten to have been born and survived only 'a day' with a fully wide open eye belies photoshop fakery.

Actually another group claimed the same thing, the woman who took the picture sent them the flash card out of her digital camera, the image was analized on the flash card and it was concluded that it would have been impossible to fake. There is actually a medical term for what happened to the kitten and while it's an extremely rare condition, it's not unheard of.

I'll see if I can dig up the article.

I'm just taking a wild guess, but had it lived, I'm almost certain a lot of money would have been offered the owners way....or asked for by the owner. Same story as two headed snakes, probably future Dermas if there are any, and any other genetic freaks. I guess you could say it's in THE EYE(yeah, pun there if ya missed it, lol) of the beholder! Take care

Thanks for keeping us up to date (even with your busy schedule)!
You put alot of time and effort into this each and every week!
I just wish I could spend more time here, and contribute more! Maybe after Apu makes good with his future girlfriends.

Thanks again,
Ken
