Breeding weight for female honduran?

kirkpatrick Jan 15, 2006 08:17 PM

This will be my first year breeding hondurans, and I wanted to check and make sure if 411grams is a good weight for my female, or if I should wait another year.
Thanks for any input.

Hey Kirk, I've heard that four hundred grams is a good first year breeding weight. I have one around that also and a couple under that I might take a gamble on.

that should be fine, if she eats aggressively after coming out of brumation. if she does, you could find she's around 550 grams by the time she's shed twice and is put with a male.
