breeding license

mike103 Jan 15, 2006 11:04 PM

Hi, I was wondering if I needed a breeding license or a resale license in the state of Illinois if I just plan on breeding one or two females and sell the hatchlings.

Thank you for your time,
Mike

Check with Fish and Wildlife (or whatever they call it in IL). I know in Fla you better have that permit if you want to sell or exhibit exotics. I've heard that they (Fish & Wildlife) moniter ads such as the ones here on Kingsnake on slow days to catch people that don't have one. The stores I sell to are very happy that I'm "legal" too.

There's a $50 fee and it's good for 1 year. If you sell or exhibit it's worth the cost.

I just gave him the main link though as I figured he should read the rules before just applying. Take care
