I live in western ny state. What would be the closest herp show? I'd love to go to one, although I'm sure I wouldn't come home empty handed. LOL

u miss herp show in white plains new york last week. it come again in april,u should go.

White Plains is like 8 hours away. Anyone know of anything closer? If not, I'll have to plan a vacation around the NY show!

The only shows that we know about in WNY are hosted by the WNY Herp Society in late summer/fall. You can check out their web site for any info on what's coming up. We have heard of one that comes to Niagra Falls every now & then, but that is it. I think we are getting robbed of all the action!!LOL
We also live in WNY, in between Buffalo & Erie PA. Are you anywhere near? We are thinking on going to Whiteplains & the Eastern PA show's this spring. There is also one in Ohio, that's only around 3 hrs from us, & one near Pittsburg PA, but once again it's like a 5 hr ride.
Oh, I almost forgot, there is our local rescue, R.A.R.E.
She may know of any upcoming events in our area. I'll have to check with her.

i live in buffalo.

syracuse used to have a reptile show. oh wow, now that i think about it, i went to that syracuse rep show like 12 years ago. so chances are it may not go on anymore.

the one that was in buffalo....i went there like two years ago. i wouldn't travel out of my way to go to it. it's not big. that year there were like 3-4 tables with actual animals and about 5-6 selling other crap and high prices. I don't want to let you down. I considered asking for my entrance fee back, but i thought of it as a donation and let it go.

The show put on by the WNY Herp Society was a hit this last year. They held it at the Harthstone Manor(spelling?), in Cheektawaga. There were quite a few vendors there with actual animals for sale & some where even from out of state. We had a table there & did well. I think they should have more shows in this area,I have been surprised on how many herp collectors are in the area. I think the problem is that there needs to be more publicity.
They used to have one in the Falls, but I haven't seen it in years.
Now the closest place to go, I believe, is Clev. Ohio.
