Will peaty water hurt my WTF?

jleahl Jan 16, 2006 10:21 AM

I have finally gotten my 29g high tank up and running, waterfall and plants and all. The frog hasn't moved in yet. The water under the false bottom is pretty tea-colored, like Amazon water or something. I guess this is because I put a layer of sphagnum on top of the screen, below the substrate in the tank. Will this hurt the frog? Since sphagnum is recommended sometimes for a substrate I would think not, but thought I'd check to be sure.

Thanks!

The color could be coming from the moss or a peice of wood that you have in the tank. It won't harm the frog.
