Would any of you suggest putting a female leopard through a cooling period prior to breeding? I have had many before and have not needed to be cool them down. However I am dealing with a very flighty female who has been by herself for nearly two years and reacts very aggresively to the introduced male. I have let the two work out their differences and they seem to still get along ok however anytime the male makes a mating advance she will fight him. I just don't want the female to get too stressed out and I dont want the male to lose his tail.lol. Both are of breeding age and beyond breeding size.Not only that but the female eats pinkies like she does crickets or mealworms.lol.
I don't want to force anything on her ya know. Thanks for any tips.
