some body i know found a water turtle at a sump. it is a large turtle about 1 foot long. it has like peopard spots on it's skin. the skin is smooth, it has really long claws.

way more information is needed
where are you (country?) what part of that country? can you describe the coloratoion in more detail?
are the feet webbed? do the feet look like the fet of an elephant?
is the shell domed or mostlt flat?
is the tail long?
is the shell smooth or bumpy? if bumby, are the bumps sharp or rounded? are they in rows? if so, how many rows?
and of course a picture would be the best tool.
