Most of us get them online b/c it is much cheaper. Just be sure to get the right size for your cham - you have a baby, right? Do you know the "feeder no longer than head is wide" rule of thumb?
I have ordered from several online companies and I have had the most consistent and reliable orders shipped by Premium Crickets in GA. Depending on how much you want to order (I have minimal needs) he offers large quantities and then "contract crickets" which you choose the size, and frequency. Mike is just great to deal with. If you live in a cold region it can get a bit tricky b/c companies often cannot guarantee live delivdery if the temos are too cold (or too hot).
I have also heard good thisng about American Cricket Ranch. I used to order form reptilefood.com but had some trouble so looked around. But maybe they have worked out their bugs (so to speak!)

Hey,
I order crickets online all the time. I have used reptilefood.com for years, and couldn't be more satisfied. A couple of times they arrived DOA, or partially DOA, and they replaced the whole order no questions asked. I didn't pay for more shipping or anything. However their shipping prices is a bit high, so I recently switched over to Ghann's cricket ranch. I only ordered from them once, and they arrived great. Be sure to gut-load your crickets after you get them, before you feed them to your chams though.

i'm lucky enough to have a pet store near me that sells 1,000 for $15. you should ask the store near you to see if they'll sell you bulk cheaper.
Wow, you've got a nice deal! and no shipping costs!
I did ask a local feedstore that carries them but they were not willing and continued to charge .15 cents PER CRICKET!

wow, .15 a cricket?!! i thought that $1.00 for a dozen was pricey here. do they count each one or do they just throw a bunch in? i've had stores do both, but the one that sell the cheap crickets usually just throw about 4 dozen in for the price of 1. so if anyone is in the ocean county area of nj, let me know and i'll tell you the stores name
yeah, isn't that nuts? There is a local pet store that charges .20! Some places throw in a few extras and the feed store would always throws in a lot. I would hate to run out of crickets and then have to buy them that way.

I have trouble keeping 2dozen alive...what's the trick. Can you tell me how you provide (and what you supply) for the gut load?
i don't buy the 1,000 because i only had 1 cham and that's an awful lot for karma. but the dude at the petstore says to keep them hydrated. i use veggies as gutload (there's a site that lele has a link to on another post about calcium glubonate). they stink to much to keep as pets! lol
keep them clean, well fed and hydrated. I keep mine in a 10 gallon tank (150 at most in that size tank), give them a variety of fruits and veggies: carrots, apples, leafy greens (no spinach as it binds calcium) squash, and also give them a well prepared dry gutload. They get most of their moisture from the veggies (change them daily or every couple days) but I do give them the cricket water. It is an expanding gel that starts out as little crystals and you just add water. If you use plain water they will drown (not too bright!). remove the dead ones regularly - that is what causes the stink. I either have no substrate or I use a couple layers of plastic canvas cut to fit the bottom and this way their frass falls thru and keep the tank much cleaner. I use a screen top for good ventilation.
www.adcham.com has a good dry and wet gutload recipe and here is a link to a nutritional chart (for feeding bearded dragons) which is a great guide as to what you should - and should not - feed your crix. She has it color coded, Ca
ration and other bits of info. VERY helpful I printed it out and it goes to he supermarket with me! lol!
