A January Toad

Our water shut-off valve in our front yard is about a foot down below ground level, in a PVC pipe. It almost always has a toad or two down there in the summer. I was looking for a good photo subject to shoot with my new camera (Panasonic FZ5) and I was a bit surprised when my son pulled not one, but five toads out of the water shut-off valve hole. This was the biggest one. He was a pretty complient photo subject, being a bit cold and all. We snapped some frames and put him back with a covering of leaves. I really like the macro setting on this camera.
