Here is my pair of five month old Mexican Bairds…. Check out how much lighter the male is…… and his blotches are GREEN. Both shed within one week of each other so the female is not blue. The male seems to be getting lighter as he grows, and the green in his dorsal blotches is becoming more pronounced.

I know as adults, the males tend to be a lighter orange and have more grey in the head, but I’ve never seen this before…..

Has anyone else with Mex. Bairds seen sexual dimorphism this early…???

Thanks.
