mbk questions?

adamjeffery Jan 16, 2006 09:42 PM

ive been seeing mbk's for sale quite often and they amaze me by their color. so ive been contemplating getting one. their ar eno good or atleast large reptile stores near me so ive never had a chance to see or handle one in person.
so my questions begin
first how aggresive are thay after being handled from the start
do they calm down or stay kind of twitchy?
how big is the norm for an adult?
is there any morphs available?(not that any could be better than the origional)
does anybody know if they've been hybridised?
thannx for your help ill get any other info from other posts
adam

I just got my first one yesterday. Much like yourself I had been admiring them for some time. I got an 04 Male and he isabsolutley wonderfully tempered. I couldnt ask for anything better. He is active and beautiful. He Moves fast to avoid being picked up but immediately settles down in my hands. No musking or any bad behavior. I am thrilled with mine. I say you should GO FOR IT!

Remember that each snake is an individual. Many are as calm as can be. Attention at times other than feeding is good so they don't get an overly aggressive feeding response that is common when they only see you when its time to be fed. I have always liked the mbk for the fact they are so hardy and of course their brilliant black.
There should be someone close to you breeding them as they are pretty common and breed easily.
Good luck.
