Would a 60 gallon be good for a pair of bearded dragons?

No. A single bearded dragon needs at least a 55 gal long (or breeder) tank that has floor dimensions of 4'x2'. Not sure what the 60 Gal has but I really don't think it will be large enough. A 75 Gal or larger, long tank, would be more suitable. However, it is better to house dragons separately to prevent fighting, stress, unwanted breeding, domination problems so one hogs all the best basking spots, eats all the food and basically prevents the other from thriving as well as it would alone.

actually, a 55 gallon only has floor space of 48"x13"... and the breeder sized tank is only 36"x18". Even the 75 gallon is only 48"x18".

Even for a single dragon/any reptile that size, I wouldn't reccomend anything that's only 13" wide. I'd go for something 18". I have seen people successfully keep a pair of dragons in a 48"x18" enclosure, but in general, bearded dragons don't really do well in groups.
