Quick question...

hefte Jan 17, 2006 01:15 AM

I've had snakes my whole life and honestly my baby Luecy is the hardest snake to feed I've ever had. I have tried everything and the problem is, she's big enough to take a hopper and I don't want to leave her unattended with a live mouse. She is so aggressive that walking near her cage causes strike after strike and she will bite your hand and hold on until you pull her off. The bites don't bother me but it seems that she gets so stressed out by my presence that she is not willing to eat. I have left food in her cage overnight, I have teased, I have left her in a dark room with a light over the cage and a mouse inside so I could be near if it started to eat her, nothing works. Not sure what else to do, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, Eric-

try leaving a fresh killed or frozen/thawed mouse in there overnight and leave her alone. As in throw it in and don't come back till morning.
