Opinions of the T albinos

shot Jan 17, 2006 01:29 AM

I am just curious of what everyones opinions are of the T Albinos. I personally love them as babies but they look totally different as adults. Even though they still have a very distinct look as adults it is nothing to impressive to me, I have seen alot of better looking snakes. I know the genes at work here are priceless for the morph scene and I can't wait to see some of snakes that will be produced. I am just curious to what others that post on this forum think about the T Albinos.

I can only base my opinion from pictures I’ve seen. There are three different T poss. Albino lines. The C.A. line and the Col. line and the one’s from Nerd. I prefer the C.A. line to the Col. I agree with you as far as the Col. line goes. There neat but not that neat. Adults seem to look like a clean normal to me. However the few people that I know have them say, you need to see them in person, and that there hard to take pics of that show their true colors. Paul Mitzelfelt has a unproven col. T poss that if proves out will be a knock out.

Hey James,

I agree with you on the C.A. line being the better looking (as adults) and i have never saw one in person either. I think the columbians will look awsome combined with the hypo gene, if it will clear up alot of the speckling. Those hypo het T pos's that Ricky Bonsell or Bosnell (sorry Ricky) has for sale are beautiful just as hets. It almost seems as if the T Pos gene is trying to show itself in the hets and I have also noticed this in a lot of boas het for blood or even poss het bloods. I know they are both recessive genes but it seems like they try to come out in a less recessive fashion sometimes,if you know what I am trying to say. Anyway thanks for the input.

you mentioned the hets being "Pastel-ish." She is quite remarkable- check out the pink undertones!

beautiful in their own right. I believe both the CA and Colombian lines are special, but I will only comment on the Colombian line as it is the only one I have seen in person (and own). Pictures do not do the Colombian line justice- well, maybe if Celia Chien took them. If you spoke to any of those who own the Colombin T , they will say they are their favorite. They are stunning as babies and just as stunning as adults- just different. And, that is it. They are different! The red eyes, the lavendar, the pinks, the light background, AND the GENETIC POTENTIAL is mind blowing. They MAY look like nice normals or pastels in pictures, but in person...so different. I cannot even imaginge a T Sunglow or T Ghost (or Snow)- all that Lavendar!

This combination potential in either line is incredible. The people who own the Colombian line know they are special- that is it.

in person to be able to realise what is the difference and appreciate the caramel, the pink, the orange and the lavender colors !
They are really special and what ever are the pics you have seen on the net, remember that it's so hard to catch colors with a camera !
One more thing, like for any other boas (morphs or wild type)some are much nicer than others, wayt to see a nice adult !
A great future for them, they have more subtil colors to work on than the other T 's.

I am looking forward to getting a couple hets. I think they are awesome. I think most people really want to cross them into other morphs.

These are pretty recent, and please excuse the slight "newspaper nose". This is Daisy Mae enjoying a snack with gusto!

She is the paler one of my two T Positive females and she seems to get more color as she ages. Her tail is NEON orange and her base coloring is a light coral. Although these pics are 99% true to how I think she looks, she really must be seen in person to be truly appreciated. I love the CA T's, but I love these guys every bit as much. The ORANGE tail coloring is outrageous!

She is nice and that tail is bright. I like your Motleys also especially those "chocolate ones".

Thanks for the pics

I have seen the first picture, but never the second. I can not believe how beautiful she is. I am 3 years away from getting one!

I think all the T positive projects have unlimited potential. The T pos gene is so variable in it's expression that all the current T pos projects currently on the drawing boards will offer something different to the Boa Breeding Community. Each one has it's fans and will appeal to different people for different reasons. Since working with the Nicaraguans, I've become a huge fan of their smaller size and ease in keeping and breeding. I also love how their colors develop right before your eyes into adulthood. There's nothing subtle about the reds, yellows, oranges and pinks and the complete lack of any pigment. I've included a few pics of some of the 2004 yearlings for you to check out!!
