An easy way to make a dripping system is to use ice cubes. Place an ice cube on the screen, above a plant. It will slowly melt away and drip onto the plant. There is no need in collecting the water afterwards, it will evaporate or be lapped from the leaves.

A method I have utilized uses a drip bottle, like the ones used for hampsters. I place the end of the metal spout touching the screen, as this creates a bubble/drop of water. Make sure your Chameleon can reach the drop, so he/she doesnt always have to shoot their tongue at the drop. Cheers!

the cold water will lower their internal body temp which can affect his digestion.

yep, i have heard that too. in fact, when i mist my chams i fill their mister with very very hot water. so when the spray hits the air it cools to a tropical 90-95 F i've found my chames, especially Yema, love to lick the warm water up. i think cold water would do more damage then hydrate.

i also have a rodent style water bottle hanging in her cage. i've never seen her drink out of it, but the water level does slowly go down. so she must see it. i read somewhere that the shiny metal ball resembles a drop of water, which is why animals drink out of them anyways. i know that birds take very well to drinking out of water bottles. much more sanitary option too!

You can use something as simple as a large plastic cup, poke tiny holes in the bottom and fill with warm water, or you can buy reptile drippers. You can purchase or make your own misting system, if you so desire. Set a live plant, bowl or other suitable container under the dripper to catch water. You will still need to mist regularly with warm water, as proper humidity must be maintained.
I personally would NOT recommend ice cubes. Chams aren't crazy about water being splashed directly on them, let alone freezing ice cube water!

To make it simple, here is what you do. I am going to do it breifly cause i was just signing my signature and was all done, when my bro tripped on the plug to my laptop!!! Time to start from scratch!!! Anyway....

Get a styrofoam cup, poke a pin hole in the bottom the size so that when filled with water, it drips one drop every 1-2 seconds. Fill it with warm water and place it above the cage, over a plant or some plastic foliage so that as it cascades down the leaves, and catch the extra water in a catch cup below. It takes patients to get it in the right spot. Be sure to use warm water, and be carefull that it isnt near any electrical equiptment. Also mist the cage 2-3 times a day with a fine spray bottle. But if you have more than 3 cham cages, I would reccommend a small misting system. It will save you alot of headaches....
