Lizard Liner/Repti-Carpet

kiknskreem Jan 18, 2006 10:58 AM

Just built a new cage and am deciding on substrate. I use mostly aspen, but this cage is rather large for a shavings. I just picked up some "Lizard Liner", its pretty much the same as any repti carpet or turf. Just wondering who has any experience with it before I open the bag.

Yeah, I used to use Lizard Liner and (for my larger cages) indoor/outdoor carpeting for my cages... but poop really sticks on and it stays far too dry for most reptiles. It is convenient if you have more than one liner per cage so you can put one in while the other gets cleaned, but I find aspen shavings and Care Fresh (heh, like ReptiSnow but in the Small Animal section and so much cheaper!) are much easier to use.
