extra rats

what does everyone do with surplus rats i am in the process of moving and need to get rid of my rats and fast the local pet shops say they are overstocked also do not know any other reptile owners in my area i have about 20 of them that need to go asap any suggestions

If they are not already frozen. Whack em and freeze em. You can also put an ad in your local paper for surplus rats.

I have a reticulated python that will put down 30-some medium rats in a sitting and still want more. If my rats produce too many, I let him feast. However, now that I have more snakes, I am having to go buy feeders a few times a month...and it's killing me! LOL!

I'm in Central California and could most definitely use someone's surplus rats. Are you close?

Otherwise, freezing them is your only other option.

when I have too many rats, Rumplesnakeskin becomes a "garbage disposal" service. He's 14 feet and will happily eat anything but birds.

I do have a trio of rabbits out back but they're a little slow on the reproduction.
