i have been so slack!

jeune18 Jan 18, 2006 08:05 PM

i got xoco in the middle of october, so i have had him for about three months. he is quite the porker and seriously has done most of this growing in the last month. he just shed and looks like he is getting ready to go again! still working on the taming, i wish i could just get to the point of walking up to the tank without him freaking out. my sister has dubbed him heart attack, although when he and i are alone i can get him to sit quietly on my hand, just nothing in the room can move

xoco (micro egyptian) when i got him

and my little fat man now

Holy mackerel, that boy is a slob. Keep up the great work, he's going to be a monster some day. Nothing better than a big fat giant uro.

They grow so fast don't they!?

He looks phenomenal, gotta love the chubby baby tummies. I am also still looking forward to a more relaxed Uro, every time I go on vacation (about twice a year) Mosca reverts back to "run and hide whenever the big feeding machine gets close)". At least he isn't mean, just not social. lol. Maybe some day though... I think Archimedes' television watching habits just spoiled me. There is something about having a Uro curl up on your chest and take a nap that is just fun.

He looks awesome, a real eating machine. My little egyptian is spooked too when you come in the room. I'm sure it will just take time to get him to calm down. I'm really not used to one being to terrified. Mine is growing too, gained quite a few grams in just a little over a month. He does love to eat. They sure grow fast. Thanks for sharing.

Whoa!! Better start designing him a BIIIIGGGGGG cage!!

jeune18 Jan 19, 2006 08:05 PM

oh i have a nice design in my head for a cage but i haven't the slightest idea of how to realize that idea because i have absolutely no building skills at all.
but i did see this cage building guy online. he has an 8ftx3ftx30in cage for only $450 and i use "only" lightly. that is alot of money but it is cheaper than 6 ft cages that i have seen, not that i would buy him a 6 foot cage.
maybe i should just forego the cage and get a two bedroom apartment

Wow! he's filled out alot these past 3 months !!

It's too bad though that his markings have ligtened.. His yellow polka dots in the first pic when he was smaller were really nice!

yeah egyptians are pretty bland as adults so i was surprised when i saw the markings but they said they fade over time, oh well, his large size will impress people, ha ha
