Cage Cleaning

KenMc Jan 18, 2006 08:38 PM

How often does everyone here clean there GTP's cage? I am using moss to hold humidity, so how long can it last before replacing? I guess a month, but this is new to me. Also how do you clean the cage without disturbing the snake? I like to find a way to reduce the chances of being tagged by the snake. My GTP is doing great and is now eating f/t pinkies without a problem. The snake is not stressed at all, but what are signs that indicate the snake is stressed. Thanks... Will post pics soon

These guys don't poop as much so you might only need to spot clean every 3 weeks or so and fully clean once every couple of months. Neither of my chondros bite as long as it's light out, so I just clean while they are in there, or to thoroughly clean I take them out and either hold them, or put them in a seperate container to temporarily keep them out of the way.
