500 gram male breeding pics...

reptilicus81 Jan 18, 2006 09:48 PM

Well I am one of the many with a pastel male this season! This little guy is 6 months old and just barely over 500 grams. He is locked with a 2400 gram normal female in pic one, and just starting to lock with a 1650 gram normal female in the second picture. I couldn't be happier I suppose he could say the same hehe!

Looks like she's the one doing the wrapping. Might have another male on your hands. Females don't really act like that.

It is possible that it could be a male, but i have more thn one female that will try and breed my males, and yes they have laid eggs for me they are definite girls. I have a cinny pastel that was a late starter this season and everytime i put him in a cage with one particular girl who laid 7 eggs last year she jumps him. so its possible its a girl also.

I thought the same thing...but she was sold female and probed at the show by the seller, and probed female by the guys at Chicago Reptile House a few days later. Also, I probed her myself recently(we've had her for about 8 months) just to be safe All three outcomes were female, so it looks like she is just trying to take advantage of him

Thanks!

Do you mind telling the length of your 500g male? I'm trying to get a feel for lengths and weights of healthy snakes.

Thanks,

Bill

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
