Wood Treatment

I'm about start building a cage for my 2 savs. The will be wood with glass front and a screen/wood combo top. I was wondering what kind of wood treatment could I use to prevent damaging the wood (from the moisture/humidity) but that would also be harmless to my savs.....

By "Savs" do you mean Savanna Monitors?

What you use to seal a cage has a lot to do with the species going in it.
