Put my suboc pair together after being in brumation. They have both eaten since, but not shed, but I see no interaction between them. Very weird, as they went right at it last year. Wondering if they fell out of love...lol.

Maybe their relationship lost it's flare... Try pairing him with a young blonde snake

H-snakes usually won't breed until after the female's SECOND post-hibernation shed, which is different than most U.S. colubrids.
For many breeders, if not most, they won't start going at it until around April through June or July (at the latest) and they usually don't start laying eggs until August or September. A friend of mine keeps around 30 or 40 breeder-sized subocs and many of his don't lay until early October.
Another name for TPRS's in the herp-keeping hobby is the "Christmas rat", due to the usual time of year when feeding, captive-bred hatchlings become available. Mark and Kim Bell, the first people to breed axanthics, used to always call them that when I asked them about their suboc projects.
So it comes as no suprise that your subocs haven't even thought about breeding yet.
Give 'em about 3 more months, and I bet you'll see fireworks and that 'ole twinkle back in their eyes. hehe
Hope that helps.

According to Bartlett the females only come into season in June. I have a feeling that most females will only breed every other year unless pig fat.

Yeah I have heard that too, except I know a couple of people that breed their TP ratsnakes around late March or so, which is earlier than most. They probably cool theirs down earlier also??
Dave Katz hatched his albinos and hets out in the middle of the summer, which is rare. Most people I know don't have any hatch until around November.
Later,

Is Dave working with the ones that had been in Europe? That could affect their cycle! LOL
