I pop, but I took some corns to a local shop for sexing, and they popped 4 corns to be all female. I kept 2 and sold 2, and it turns out one of mine must have been male because it really bolted when I put it with a male that the female mated to. If it pops male, it probably is, but don't count on a female pop to be a female.I'm not to confortable probing yet, but I will learn. Derek

i used to pop but i had to many females that later probed as males. luckily they were all part of my collection but i'd rather be sure and probe.

I pop all colubrid hatchlings. So far I have been 100% accurate. I don't feel comfortable probing those tiny things, but popping them is sooooo easy. Do it within 24 hours of them leaving the egg and you want have any problems.

I think probing babies is kinda dangerous. I pop. Then I take the ones that I determined to be females and attempt to pop them again a couple days later, just to be sure.

I pop all my hatchlings then confirm the females via probing. I will also check the females once again after they have fed a few times.
