Ok, I worked on a remote summer camp in the Davis Mountains of West Texas last summer, and found this guy/girl while on a moonlight walk. It was VERY tame, and was kind enough to pose for a few pictures from my digital. Unfortunately, all but one of those pics have been lost, and the one isn't very good.

I've checked many different sites that sell leopard geckos and at least 700 submissions in the faunaclassifieds.com listing, but have seen no patterns like this.

I won't be able to buy one like this right now, but would like a reference for when I can

It is a member of the Coleonyx family. It is not a leopard gecko.

Yep, definitely a little banded gecko. They are tiny compared to leos, but most species have the same care requirements. The central american banded gecko does not however. They require more humidity. Most in the pet trade are wildcaught, so be aware that they might come with a huge parasite load. I had a trio of c.a. bandeds that had a huge parasite load full of strongyloid and roundworms. Despite being treated consistently with flagyl, they died Your best bet, if you do decide to get a few bandeds, is to try to find them online from a breeder and to make sure they are captive bred, or be prepared to spend a lot of money on meds and vet visits.
